It is an unfortunate truth that millions of people experience the gap between good policies and everyday reality, whether in access to clean energy, financial inclusion, or understanding their rights as consumers.

At Consumer Advocacy and Empowerment Foundation (CADEF), we are working to close that gap through practical programmes that create measurable impact. With the right partners, we can do much more.

greenlabs®

This is a collaborative initiative between CADEF and Jacob's Ladder Africa (JLA) to equip Nigerian youth with the skills, mentorship, and support to build businesses that solve climate challenges while creating sustainable livelihoods. The second cohort is currently underway, and as the programme scales, we're seeking funding and technical partners to expand its reach and deepen its impact.

Consumer Literacy Art Showcase

Literacy is more than the ability to read and write. It's also about understanding your rights and responsibilities as a consumer and making informed decisions. Every September, in commemoration of International Literacy Day, CADEF brings the themes of consumer rights, sustainability, and critical thinking into secondary schools through creativity, helping raise an informed and empowered generation.

This year's edition, taking place on October 15, is our most ambitious edition yet, encouraging students from across Lagos to use art made from plastic/textile waste as a tool for consumer education. We invite sponsors and partners to help us reach more students and make the experience memorable.

Technical Working Group on Financial Inclusion for Persons with Disabilities

How do persons with disabilities navigate the ever-evolving financial landscape?

Our Technical Working Group convenes finance experts, disability advocates, and policymakers to identify barriers to financial inclusion and develop practical, evidence-based recommendations aligned with the Central Bank of Nigeria's PSV 2028 framework.

With sustained support, this initiative will continue to shape a more inclusive financial system where persons with disabilities can access and use digital financial services with greater confidence, independence, and opportunity.

Partner With Us

We invite:

• Funding partners who want to invest in measurable social impact.

•Technical partners who can strengthen programme delivery.
