Eight weeks ago, nine teams had ideas worth testing. Today, eight of them have something stronger: a validated ground to build on. The momentum is building, and we are excited for what’s coming next.

In line with this year’s theme, “Powering Food Systems," the greenlabs® Incubation Programme (Cohort 2) aims to mentor young African innovators working at the intersection of sustainable food systems and energy access, building local solutions with real potential to scale across the continent. 

Teams moved through a 5-week phase, where ideas were first shaped, before stepping into the 8-week phase, where they were tasked with refining and validating those ideas before anyone invested further time or money in them.

Eight facilitators led the teams through the foundations every early-stage founder needs: how to run a business professionally, build better products, understand customers, and manage finances like a pro, among others.

Beyond that, the high point was that the teams learned to think and act like real business owners, proving they could deliver.
